The Supreme Court has sanctioned vaccine mandates issued by the state as far back as 1905 in Jacobson v. Massachusetts, 197 U.S. 11 (1905), as a lawful use of the state’s police power. This was applied in a recent case, Indiana University, Klaassen v. Trs. Of Ind. Univ., 2021 U.S. App. LEXIS 22785 (2021), in which the state university mandated vaccines for COVID for those entering campus. Students’ injunction was denied all the way through the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court issued its order one week ago. <
