Greetings,
I am seeking some clarification on worker’s compensation.
We recently entered into a couple agreements with 1099-NEC (Nonemployee Compensation). These NEC’s do not have worker’s compensation. Does the law require we hire 1099s who possess worker’s compensation insurance? Or do we need to pay them as a W-2 to provide them with our worker’s comp?
